Atlantic City, New Jersey — The World Series of Poker Circuit will return to Atlantic City in 2025 after a five-year break. Harrah’s Resort will host the 12-day event from August 14 to 25. Harrah’s was the first casino to host World Series of Poker events in Atlantic City when the tour began there in 2005 and continued until 2020. The event will be part of the 2025-2026 regional tour and represents an effort to revive poker’s popularity in Atlantic City, which has faced declining attendance in recent years. While the city still has nine casinos, only a few maintain active poker rooms, with nearby states like Pennsylvania and Delaware drawing players away. The return of the World Series of Poker Circuit to Harrah’s Resort aims to reinvigorate Atlantic City’s poker scene, hoping to bring the city back to prominence as a major poker destination in the Northeast.
