UPPER TOWNSHIP, NJ — As the deadline for June's primary passed, only incumbents Victor Nappen II and Tyler Casaccio filed to run for Upper Township Committee. Nappen is seeking a second term, while Casaccio, appointed earlier this year, is running for a full term. Though several people had shown interest, no Democrats filed to run, and Elsie Jamison, who had previously planned to seek the Republican nomination, will now run in the general election as an independent. The Republican Party is expected to support Nappen and Casaccio, but Jamison, along with other independents like Nathalie Neiss, Anthony Inserra, and Jon K. Grubb, will challenge the incumbents in the fall.
