Student's "Joke" Bomb Threat at Wildwood Catholic Academy Prompted Police Investigation

NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. – A bomb threat reported at Wildwood Catholic Academy on April 3 turned out to be a false alarm after police interviewed a student involved and searched their residence. School officials reported that the student made a concerning statement about bringing an explosive device to school, prompting an immediate police response. The student, accompanied by their parents, was formally interviewed, and it was determined that the remark was intended as a joke. Following the interview, detectives conducted a search of the student’s home, but no weapons or explosives were found. As a result, authorities concluded the threat was not credible.
