Cape May, NJ – Stowaways, a dining destination at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal, has reopened for the season with a complete menu overhaul, adding fresh local ingredients and new flavors. The revamped menu highlights scratch-made dishes, with offerings such as Cape May Salts oysters, French Dip Egg Rolls, and Creamy Cheese Crab Dip. The restaurant now offers traditional table service, shifting away from QR codes to foster more personal interactions with guests. The new management team, led by Cape May natives Marisa Peragine and Executive Chef Joseph Grugan, aims to bring a unique experience to the community with a focus on high-quality local seafood and ingredients.
In addition to the new menu, Stowaways will host weekly events starting in May, featuring live music, themed nights, bingo, and happy hour specials. The venue includes three key dining areas: Stowaways Bar & Restaurant, Stowaways Café, and The Overlook at Stowaways for private events. Additionally, the Outdoor Bay Bar will reopen for the season, providing a waterfront bar experience. The management team plans to strengthen community ties through partnerships and charitable initiatives, with a commitment to providing both locals and visitors with a memorable experience. The improvements and events reflect a dedication to enhancing hospitality in Cape May and creating a welcoming space for all.
