Salty Mermaid Bar & Grille Set to Reopen in North Wildwood

NORTH WILDWOOD, NJ – The Salty Mermaid Bar & Grille will be making its highly anticipated return to the North Wildwood dining scene. After a brief closure in 2023, the restaurant will reopen at its original location on Delaware Avenue starting May 1st, 2025. In an announcement on social media, the restaurant shared its hours of operation: Thursdays and Fridays for dinner starting at 4 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and dinner.
The restaurant will honor previously issued gift cards that were not refunded at the time of the 2023 closure. However, it will not accept gift cards from the restaurant’s former tenant, Ocean Bay Coastal Grille & Bar. The Salty Mermaid will also serve alcohol, as it retains its liquor license, and will offer gluten-free options, though breakfast will not be served. The Salty Mermaid became a favorite for locals and visitors alike due to its laid-back dockside atmosphere and seafood-focused menu. The space briefly rebranded under new ownership in 2024 but is returning to its original branding and ownership. Enthusiasm for its reopening has been strong, with many local residents expressing excitement to enjoy the restaurant's signature dishes once again.
