North Wildwood Man Arrested on Heroin Distribution and Drug Charges

NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. – A North Wildwood man, Tahiem Howell, 46, was arrested on Friday, March 21, and charged with multiple drug-related crimes, including distribution of heroin. The arrest followed a joint investigation by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force, the federal DEA, and the North Wildwood Police Department. The investigation led to search warrants being executed on Howell and his residence, with assistance from the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team. During the search, authorities seized approximately three ounces of cocaine, one ounce of heroin, drug distribution paraphernalia, and roughly $1,500 in cash. Howell faces several charges, including possession with intent to distribute, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of controlled dangerous substances, distribution in a school zone, money laundering, and distribution of paraphernalia. He is currently being held in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
