
Atlantic City, NJ — A Maryland man was injured early Saturday morning when his SUV struck a toll plaza barrier on the Atlantic City Expressway. The crash took place at approximately 2:44 a.m. near milepost 17.6 on the westbound side. According to State Police, the driver, 23-year-old Ennis Thompson of Oxon Hill, was heading west towards the Egg Harbor Toll Plaza when his Kia Sportage collided with the attenuator before hitting a concrete curb and barrier. Thompson suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
