ISLAND BOWL IN WILDWOOD SOLD AFTER NEARLY 50 YEARS IN BUSINESS

Wildwood, NJ — A beloved local institution in Wildwood has officially come to the end of its era. After nearly five decades of service, the Island Bowl & Family Entertainment Center has been sold. The venue, located at 3401 New Jersey Ave, was a staple for both locals and visitors, offering a wide range of activities year-round, including bowling, arcade games, billiards, and a lounge. Originally closed and unused, Island Bowl was brought back to life in 2013 when it was purchased and completely renovated into a family-friendly entertainment center. Over the years, it became a gathering spot for people of all ages, hosting bowling leagues, birthday parties, and special weekend events. In a heartfelt message to the community, the former owner reflected on his 47 years in the bowling industry and expressed his gratitude for the years of memories created at Island Bowl. He also wished the new owners success in continuing the tradition of affordable fun for families. While the identity of the new owners remains undisclosed, many longtime fans have expressed their hope that the new leadership will preserve the family-oriented atmosphere that made Island Bowl a Wildwood staple. As of now, no immediate changes have been announced, but the community eagerly awaits what’s next for the venue.
