RIO GRANDE, NJ — The Cape May County Division of Veterans’ Services has relocated to a larger office space at County Commons in Rio Grande, effective April 3, 2025. The new office is located just down the hall from the division’s previous location, allowing for more room to better serve local veterans. The division continues to assist veterans with navigating federal benefits and connecting them to state and local resources. It also oversees burial arrangements at the Gerald M. Thornton Veterans Cemetery in Cape May County. In 2024, the division provided services to 938 veterans through appointments, assisted 1,178 walk-in visitors, conducted 25 outreach events, handled 1,634 calls, and facilitated 119 burials. The Cape May County Division of Veterans’ Services is now located at 3801 Route 9 South, Unit 4, Rio Grande, NJ, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Veterans and residents can contact the office at 609-886-2762 for assistance.
